AI Engineering Intern (Remote / Hybrid)
We’re hiring an AI Engineering Intern to help build the technical foundation that expands our AI Agent framework into Finance and enterprise automation!
🌍 Role Details:

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build reusable Python components that support agent reasoning, data retrieval & workflow execution
- Implement prompt engineering and context engineering patterns for predictable, structured agent behaviour
- Develop micro-workflows that interact with Workday APIs and external systems
- Contribute to the internal AI Agent orchestration framework
- Build and test LLM pipelines using Local models and configurable cloud LLM endpoints (AWS or other providers)
- Implement NLP tasks such as classification, summarisation, extraction & validation
- Optimise prompts, context windows, retrieval strategies & model performance
- Work with Workday REST/SOAP APIs to retrieve and process enterprise data
- Build Python wrappers and utilities for Workday integration endpoints
- Develop connectors to insurance or finance systems (policy admin, claims, billing)
- Implement secure API authentication and data-handling patterns
- Build Python pipelines for ingesting, transforming & validating structured/unstructured data
- Work with JSON, XML, CSV & Workday-style datasets
- Implement data quality checks, schema validation & transformation logic
- Deploy and test AI workflows on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Run and benchmark local LLMs
- Build internal tools for testing agent behaviour and performance
- Contribute to engineering documentation, standards & best practices
✅ Our Must-Haves:
- Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, requests, FastAPI or Flask)
- Interest in LLMs, NLP, prompt engineering & context engineering
- Ability to work with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway)
- Ability to run local LLMs like Ollama with various models
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, XML & data transformation
- Comfortable with Git, VS Code & command-line tools
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
- Ability to break down technical problems into clear, logical steps
- Curiosity about enterprise systems, integrations & automation
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Self-driven, curious & eager to learn
